Most sculptures are cast to order and the casting and finishing process will take approximately 8 -12 weeks depending on the size, complexity and the foundry schedules. This is typically from the date of ordering and payment has been received. Each sculpture is individually hand cast in bronze and numbered and has a strict limited edition.The foundry process is complex and consist of multiple stages to ultimately create a bronze cast faithful in all detail to the original clay sculpture. I personally finish every wax cast from the mould to ensure its accuracy and I also check every metal cast in it’s raw state before approving it to be coloured.
Every effort is made to match as closely as possible the patinas of each sculpture within an edition to those shown on the website, individual patinas will vary slightly from piece to piece within an edition as each one is hand patinated. If you have specific requirements, within reason that is (no pink elephants) such as a little darker or lighter I am happy to consider and inform and discuss with the foundry. No guarantees on exact patina.
Please note that patinas may also look different due to elements beyond our control. For example, your computer monitor may be calibrated differently, also the lighting of a piece will bring out the colours different in your room in comparison to the product photography produced.
From time to time we may have a sculpture in stock that can be shipped relatively quickly. Please note, full payment must be received before shipping.
Payment in full is required upon placing an order to cast a new non stock piece cast, the casting will begin once the funds have been received.
Payment can be made easily, either via bank transfer or via credit card through PayPal.
All David's Bronzes are individually hand cast at UK Foundries. David oversees quality control throughout the process and a cast is not allowed to forward until it meets his requirements.
All deliveries are fully insured and priced on an individual basis – Please contact us for a delivery quote, providing your full postal address and contact number (required by shipping agent). Bronzes ship in cardboard boxes up to approx 10kg (variable on the piece) and wooden crated beyond that weight. Note all import duties /taxes and delivery excesses are solely the customers responsibility.
Edition pieces After casting and delivery returns will be refunded at 50% of the total, subject to the piece/s being returned in perfect condition. All return shipping and packing and insurance is the clients responsibility.
On all Private commissions 50% is due at onset of the project,the second instalment at point of the sign off for casting. For further discussion please contact us.
Private commissions are subject to zero returns policy.
