Commission a sculpture for your home, garden or public space

A sculpture captures presence, personality, and spirit in a way nothing else can.

This is your opportunity to own a unique one off sculpture of your beloved pet or your best of breed, to sit proudly in your home, garden or office. Or you may be a public venue or commercial business in need of a striking sculpture. If so then feel free to get in touch with me to discuss your ideas.

I will consider any animal species both Domestic or Wild. I have over 30+ years experience including a public bronze of a life sized Welsh Cob in Aberaeron, Wales.

Any size is achievable and I work closely with foundries who have huge experience in bringing my sculpture to finish at any scale.

The commission process - where to start?

It's pretty simple really. Once you've familiarised yourself with my style and you like what you see then it's time to get in touch.We can then discuss the subject, size and location, everything really. Once we have an agreed concept and I have reviewed any images/video you have sent (for pets and best of breed only) I can provide you with a quotation and a time frame to sculpt and cast your personal sculpture.

But don't worry if you don't have many images we can provide you with a guide on how to get the best images ready for the commission.

What is the cost of a bespoke sculpture?

Each piece is costed individually based on the subject, size and materials/cast.

To instigate the commission an invoice for 50 % payment will be sent, this is to be paid before any sculpting is started.

What about editions?

Your commission will be a one off bespoke piece, so 1 of an edition of 1.

Limited editions can be discussed for specific needs, but the whole edition must be purchased at the same time.

Shipping /delivery and Installation

Shipping is costed separately based on location.
Installation is also costed separately and is only applicable on large garden or public sculptures on a case by case basis.

Timescale

I always suggest you take the initiative early on should you require a sculpture for a gift. Contact me with your window and we will discuss timings.

Input

I do collaborate and invite input in the early stages.
Do remember, this is an art piece and you are commissioning me for my style - which is anatomically correct but energetic in its finish and composition. My work is contemporary and gesture based and I am more interested in producing a unique bold sculpture, full of life to celebrate your chosen subject.

You will receive images or video via email at various stages. At the finish we can arrange a studio visit or video call.
For international customers a video /zoom call is normal.

Materials

Your sculpture can be cast in resin or foundry bronze, dependant upon budget or requirements.

Reference images

Good reference is important before I undertake any commission.
At the start of the project I will advise you on creating the best reference portfolio for me to work from.
(Please note - This is for pets and best of breed animals only, not wildlife).
